My name is Morris. Are you ready for my heartbreak tale? I am an older gent and I was living with my best friend (the human kind). Unfortunately, he passed away. It caught me quite off guard and I miss him a lot. Luckily, he has some good friends in town who put in a solid effort to get me somewhere safe (I didn't make it easy on them...I didn't want to leave my home). Now that I am at the SPCA I am starting to feel better. When I first arrived, I could be standoffish and the staff referred to me as a "grumpy old man," but I've really come around! I still like to keep you on your toes and I definitely have a streak of cattitude, but underneath my rough and tough exterior I am a loving guy who wants to be part of the action. I am very chatty, with lots of stories to tell you, and will follow the people that I trust around asking for pets with my loud meow. I have even become playful as I've settled in - don't let my age fool you, I'm still a young chap at heart and will race around after mouse toys or roll around like crazy on a catnip mat. I would love a quiet home with someone to love again, that can continue to help me to trust again after trauma and heartbreak. I'm a simple cat looking for a peaceful life.Interested?!
