Adopt Spell a Brown Tabby Domestic Shorthair (short coat) cat in Mississauga

Spell came to us along side her 3 kittens. She bonded with her kittens and would spend time nursing them, but it became clear that she valued time away from her kittens as they were frequently very rambunctious and full of energy. She was rather unfazed when her kittens left the home as they got adopted and she actually had more of an opportunity to develop a personality and become more comfortable in our home. As of late 2022/early 2023 she has been a single cat in the household and has really come to bond with her fosters. She follows her fosters around the house, sleeps on her fosters bed and generally likes to be in the company of people at all times. She is not a very shy cat as she is not very frightened by strangers and warms up to new people fairly quickly. She also has no trouble staying entertained by herself as she can play with her spring toys for hours before taking a long nap. She is food motivated and she is great at using her litter box and her scratching post. She is accustomed to being the only cat in the house but tends to bond intensely with her owner/foster so she would strongly benefit from someone being home frequently/someone who works from home. She has interacted with dogs and can hold her own, but she would be better suited in a home with no dogs, or with senior/respectful dogs. She has not very much interaction with other cats and can be a little territorial, but we believe that she can integrate well in a home with another cat with enough time. She is not the most active/energetic cat, so we think that she would be best suited with a cat that is playful but not overly energetic.
