Peppa would do well in a quiet home. It is perfectly okay if her new family has a busy work schedule as Peppa is a kitty who is independent and enjoys spending her days sunbathing. Peppa came to Abbey Cats from a shelter. She was surrendered after her family was unable to pay for her pyometra surgery, and she remained at the shelter for a few weeks to have her surgery completed and recover. As you can imagine, it was a difficult transition for her especially since Peppa is terrified of other cats. To undergo a medical procedure on top of losing her family is a heavy change for a kitty. Going into her foster mom's home she was, understandably, a little apprehensive for the first few days given what she had been through. It was clear though that she was desperate for human companionship. Despite the occasional hissing on the first two days she would still curl up into her foster mom's lap for some cuddles and loves to be social and stay nearby. Peppa has since left her hissing days behind and is also very keen on snuggles in bed or at your feet while you work. If you are seeking a low maintenance yet loving addition to your family, Peppa is well suited for you. She is a sweet girl with a lovely little heart-shaped beauty mark on her face to prove it! She is a lovely companion to have and a wonderful supervisor of work tasks who adores quiet moments of affection with you. While she may not be the most talkative kitty, (not to be confused with shyness as she is very social!) her presence speaks volumes through her charming and gentle demeanor. Peppa is so quiet and polite it is a treasure to have her around. One of her favorite pastimes is playing with string. Watching her agile movements as she pounces and twirls around a piece of string is a delight that will bring a smile to your face. Her playful spirit shines through when she's in the mood for a little fun. When it comes to relaxation, she loves to bask in the warmth of the sun. She seeks out sunny spots by the window and stretches out, luxuriating in the sunlight. While Peppa is generally more relaxed, her favourite part of her day is certainly food time. She is more than capable of putting on the most convincing faces that suggest unlimited meals a day are more than acceptable. Her new home will have to have a strong will to avoid caving in to her persuasive arguments for more food! Overall, she is ready to move in and start making your house a home. Peppa is still a little cautious but she should be okay with another cat in the home as long as introductions are done slowly, and she is given some space. She would thrive as an only cat with a lot of attention.
