Adopt Morecambe a Brown Tabby Domestic Shorthair (short coat) cat in

Location:
Mississauga, ON
Description:

Morecambe and his sister, Croy were adopted from Abbey Cats earlier this year but were recently surrendered back to the program through no fault of their own.(One member of the family simply did not take a liking to having cats) Morecambe is the male-half of a wonderful bonded sibling pair. He is taller and more athletic than his sister, and loves to eat! He loves to eat so much that he is often meowing at his foster mom to feed him again, and not only that, when his sister Croy isn't looking, he will sneakily eat from her bowl! His big appetite makes sense considering he loves to bounce and run all over the condo like he is training for the cat olympics. Morecambe is a very gentle and sweet cat, but more shy than his social butterfly sister. He likes to approach his foster mom for cuddles and affection, and then will retreat back to his own shenanigans. He is quite chatty, and vocalizes quite a bit. He is such a good brother to Croy and is always near her, playing with her, and grooming her. Croy loves to play with wand toys, his cat tent, catnip, and his scratching boards. When he is not playing, he is lounging on his floor bed, or high up on his window perch. Sometimes, when Morecambe is bored or wants attention from Croy, he will start to tease her and play-bite her. This gets Croy upset. A stern no and redirecting of his attention helps him to get back into his kind and gentle mode. At night time, Morecambe likes to hang around on his floor bed, or will come into the bedroom and check on his foster mom to see if she is awake yet and ready to give more food. Morecambe is a very smart, quirky, and loving cat. He is hoping someone out there will give him and his sister the safe, fun, and happy forever home they have been dreaming of! He came from a home with older children and got along well with them, although he was more likely to keep to himself or hang around Croy. It is not known how he will behave around dogs, new cats, or young children. Morecambe is very gentle, but quite shy. It is important that he is not forced into cuddling or interactions before he is ready. It is important his forever home respects his space, and provides him the time and patience to open up on his own terms. Morecambe is only one year old and still has a lot of kitten energy. He is much more energetic than Croy. A big and spacious home where he can run around and play would be ideal! Morecambe MUST be adopted with his sister Croy.
