Microchipped, DOB October 6, 2016 Evie is a loving and confident girl, independent yet also loves being with people! She will greet you with welcoming meows and expect chin scratches in exchange. She loves trying and sleeping on slippers and shoes, clean laundry, and soft chairs. She’s also very talented at singing duets and letting you know through her loud but gentle reminders when it’s her meal time. She is working on losing some weight; besides her calorie restrictions, her workouts consists of chasing mysterious red lights and her mice toys. Treats are strictly used for getting her used to having her paws touched because she can be protective of her pretty nails; she may require asking the veterinary staff trim her nails as it is difficult to do it with just one person. She will also swat if her boundaries are not being respected (i.e. moving too fast towards her or petting her in a way she doesn't like); they are meant to be warning taps, but since she won't let her foster parent trim her nails, they can leave scratches. Evie does well with other pets that respect her space and boundaries. Her fur is grey and white. Evie loves sunbathing and showing off her soft belly, and will even let trusted humans pet it for a short time. She will sneak in some extra cuddles and chin scratches before bedtime just as you get cozy, and will sometimes sleep beside you. Once she is comfortable enough to be her true self, she can be the best companion anyone can ask for!Adoption processAdoption fee is $200 per adult cat, and $250 for kittens (under 8 months old). This ensures that the cats that come into our care receive the attention they need, are spayed or neutered, and receive a rabies vaccination at the appropriate age. For City of Toronto residents, the adoption fee includes a mandatory City of Toronto cat license that is valid for one year. As you can imagine, these fees only begin to cover our costs; donations and ongoing fundraising efforts carry us the rest of the way! Note: -Senior cats (8 years or older) have an adoption fee of the adopter's choice, vs. our standard adult adoption fee of $200.-Our adoption fee for an adult bonded pair (8 months or older) is $150 per cat vs. $200 per cat.
